Adjunct Faculty of Strings, Orchestra
Duties And Responsibilities
- Attend and lead all required class sessions
- Promptly assess student coursework and submit via Brightspace (the university’s learning management system)
- Coordinate with Division Chair and/or Academic Dean regarding classroom or student issues in a timely manner
Qualifications
- According to Indiana Wesleyan University employment policy all employees must possess a strong Christian commitment and adhere to the standards outlined in the IWU Community Lifestyle Statement
- Education: Master’s degree in music preferred, Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience: Demonstrated talent and accomplishment in relevant playing and/or teaching, Teaching experience at the collegiate level preferred
Required Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Organization skills to facilitate management of student work
- Ability to communicate with and teach students at all levels of musicianship
