About the role
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is regularly seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach in its Music Program. The Music faculty participate in a vibrant music technology program and oversee a diverse array of choral groups; jazz, string, and brass ensembles; and concert and stage bands.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory courses, intermediate thematic surveys, advanced topic seminars, and capstone practicums in music theory and history, audio arts, music technology, as well as composition, arrangement, and performance.
- Participate in a vibrant music technology program and oversee a diverse array of choral groups; jazz, string, and brass ensembles; and concert and stage bands.
- Jump into an existing curriculum with creative and critical pedagogical approaches.
Requirements
- Hold a Doctorate in music (PhD, DMA, DMus, etc.).
Qualifications
- Demonstrate teaching excellence and versatility.

- Compensation: $6,000 per course.

- FLSA STATUS: Exempt.
