Adjunct Faculty - English

Primary Responsibilities

Create courses to meet learning outcomes and promote student engagement.

Foster an effective learning environment that encourages intellectual curiosity and problem-solving.

Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and learning outcomes.

Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals while maintaining a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance academic and professional communities and promote teamwork.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in English Language & Literature or ESL/TESOL
• Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population
• A commitment to the open access mission of the community college
