Adjunct Faculty - English

Primary Responsibilities

Create courses that align with learning outcomes and encourage student engagement.

Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse students and promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Use various assessment methods to evaluate student progress and ensure they meet course objectives.

Support students in achieving their academic, personal, and career goals while maintaining a respectful and collaborative atmosphere.

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance academic programs and support student success.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in English Language & Literature or ESL/TESOL
• Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System (preferred)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of staff and students
• Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population (desired)
• A commitment to the open access mission of the community college
