The Science and Technology Department at Finger Lakes Community College is seeking innovative and adaptable educators committed to student engagement, excellence in teaching, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
About the role
- Offers courses in various modalities including Asynchronous Online, In-person, Hybrid, HyFlex, and Synchronous Online.
- May have the opportunity to teach in multiple course modalities based on training and experience.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of the current subject area.
- Implements course outcomes based on the master syllabus.
- Prepares and distributes an updated course outline specific to the sections taught.
- Prepares and creates lesson plans, instructional materials, and activities for students.
- Teaches courses and evaluates student performance.
- Maintains accurate student records.
- SUBMIT pertinent data to the department and/or the College.
- Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Master's degree in related field of science; or Baccalaureate in related field of science with a Master's in Education plus relevant experience or certification(s); or Master's degree plus significant related job experience.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software for ESC 105 Engineering Graphics.
- Knowledge of MATLAB and LabVIEW for ESC 170 Computing for Engineers.

Pay
Adjunct rate of pay for the 2026-2027 Academic Year is $1,087 per contact hour.
