About the role
Marymount University seeks qualified individuals to teach Engineering lectures and laboratories. Courses of interest may include calculus-based physics, statics, dynamics, CAD design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and others.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in assigned discipline
- Prepare and deliver engaging, student-centered instruction (in-person, hybrid, or online as assigned)
- Develop syllabi and course materials aligned with departmental standards
- Audit student performance and provide timely feedback
- Maintain regular communication with students and department leadership
- Hold yourself accountable to university academic policies and integrity standards
Requirements
- Master's degree in Physics, Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in the field of teaching required
- Demonstrated expertise or professional experience in the subject area
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Commitment to inclusive excellence and student success

Pay
Remuneration on a semester basis, and may range from $1,200/credit hour. They may make their own contribution to a 403b retirement plan.
