About the role

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and teach courses in cybersecurity based on department-approved learning outcomes.
  • Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
  • Provide teaching and mentoring services without discrimination.
  • Stay current in the field through professional development activities.
  • Use computer applications and online resources effectively.
  • Manage course content and administrative duties using an online learning management system.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in relevant fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Network Security, or Computer-Based Information Systems.
  • Three years of non-teaching, industry-related work experience in cybersecurity, networking, or cloud computing.

Skills

  • Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications and online resources.
  • Proficiency using an online learning management system.
