Adjunct Faculty, Cybersecurity
About the role
Austin Community College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach cybersecurity courses. The position requires a Master's degree in a relevant field and three years of industry-related experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and teach courses in cybersecurity based on department-approved learning outcomes.
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback.
- Provide teaching and mentoring services without discrimination.
- Stay current in the field through professional development activities.
- Use computer applications and online resources effectively.
- Manage course content and administrative duties using an online learning management system.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in relevant fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Information Technology, Computer or Software Engineering, Network Security, or Computer-Based Information Systems.
- Three years of non-teaching, industry-related work experience in cybersecurity, networking, or cloud computing.
Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency using computer applications and online resources.
- Proficiency using an online learning management system.
