About the role

This is an in-person position for adjunct faculty members who will assist students in achieving their academic goals by providing effective instruction and assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Create a learning environment that supports student success.
  • Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
  • Provide syllabi and follow syllabus content and requirements.
  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy.
  • Be available to students outside scheduled class times to answer questions or provide assistance.
  • Deal with student concerns and consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted courses.
  • Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
  • In event of emergency absence, notify program/department chair.
  • Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.

Requirements

  • Possess an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology as appropriate to the program.
  • Possess an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
    • Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the information technology field.
    • Two years of in-field professional employment.
    • Documented evidence of information technology teaching excellence including date of award.
    • Documentation of research and publication in the field.
    • Documented relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.
  • Possess an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:
    • Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the field.
    • Two years of in-field professional employment.
    • Documentation of evidence of information technology teaching excellence including date of award.
    • Documentation of research and publication in the field.
    • Documentation of relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.

Pay

$47.35 per classroom contact hour

Schedule

Day, evening, and/or Saturday classes based on class schedule and enrollment.
