About the role
This is an in-person position for adjunct faculty members who will assist students in achieving their academic goals by providing effective instruction and assessment.
Responsibilities
- Create a learning environment that supports student success.
- Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabi and follow syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy.
- Be available to students outside scheduled class times to answer questions or provide assistance.
- Deal with student concerns and consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted courses.
- Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of emergency absence, notify program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views.
Requirements
- Possess an earned master’s degree or higher, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology as appropriate to the program.
- Possess an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the information technology field.
- Two years of in-field professional employment.
- Documented evidence of information technology teaching excellence including date of award.
- Documentation of research and publication in the field.
- Documented relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.
- Possess an earned bachelor’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in information technology or related field as appropriate to the program, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- Professional certification (national, regional, or state) in the field.
- Two years of in-field professional employment.
- Documentation of evidence of information technology teaching excellence including date of award.
- Documentation of research and publication in the field.
- Documentation of relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military.

Pay
$47.35 per classroom contact hour
Schedule
Day, evening, and/or Saturday classes based on class schedule and enrollment.
