About the role
This is an in-person position for adjunct faculty members who will teach courses on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include creating a learning environment, providing effective instruction and assessment, maintaining student records, and being available to students outside of scheduled class times.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain a learning environment that supports student success.
- Teach and facilitate student learning according to assigned syllabi.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and grading records.
- Be available to students outside of scheduled class times to answer questions and provide assistance.
- Deal with student concerns and consult with program coordinators as needed.
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted courses.
- Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc., as appropriate.
- In case of emergency absence, notify the program/department chair.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity.
Requirements
- A copy of unofficial transcripts is required to be considered for faculty roles.
- Must possess an earned master’s degree or higher in information technology, or an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree with specific certifications and experience.
- Must have two years of in-field professional employment and documented evidence of information technology teaching excellence.
- Must have relevant additional information technology coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework.
- Must have professional certification in the information technology field.
Qualifications
- A qualified faculty member in Cyber Security/Information Assurance (CSIA) must meet the program standard through one of the specified routes.

Pay
$47.35 per classroom contact hour.
Schedule
Day, evening, and/or Saturday classes based on class schedule and enrollment.
