Adjunct Faculty, Continuing Education - Culinary Assistant

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Teach Culinary Assistant courses in various delivery modes including face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats.
• Plan and conduct classroom, lab, or clinical settings for courses in Food and Beverage Categories.
• Assist with hands-on cooking instruction for topics such as international foods, baking, basic skills and techniques, wine, entertaining, etc.
• Teach once a week for three hours on a weekday evening or Saturday or Sunday morning for 1 - 4 weeks.
• Teach non-credit, adult enrichment courses without awarding academic credit.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum two years' culinary and/or teaching experience preferred.
• Serve Safe certification will need to be completed upon hiring at the college's expense.
• Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
• Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.
• Positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
