Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Teach Culinary Assistant courses in various delivery modes including face-to-face, on-line, hybrid and/or blended formats.
- Plan and conduct classroom, lab, or clinical settings for courses in Food and Beverage Categories.
- Assist with hands-on cooking instruction for topics such as international foods, baking, basic skills and techniques, wine, entertaining, etc.
- Teach once a week for three hours on a weekday evening or Saturday or Sunday morning for 1 - 4 weeks.
- Teach non-credit, adult enrichment courses without awarding academic credit.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum two years' culinary and/or teaching experience preferred.
- Serve Safe certification will need to be completed upon hiring at the college's expense.
- Ability to teach remotely with technology and experience in online or virtual teaching preferred.
- Access to personal technology, home computer with appropriate ability to teach online required.
- Positions are paid by stipends for course assignments.
