About the role

The Human Resources Department at Tompkins Cortland Community College seeks an experienced HR professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR administration, benefits management, and employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee benefits packages including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Oversee recruitment processes, including advertising, interviewing, and hiring new staff members.
  • Handle employee relations issues, mediating conflicts between employees and management.
  • Administer payroll and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain employee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in HR.
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
