Adjunct Faculty, Community Education (Serving Youth)

This position specifically works with our youth programming. Community and Workforce Education is seeking innovative and engaging instructors to develop curriculum and teach classes to middle and high school students as part of your growing youth initiatives. These initiatives are dedicated to inspiring intellectual, academic, and social-emotional growth through challenging and stimulating courses offered across all CLC campuses and extension sites. We are especially interested in professionals and educators with expertise in areas such as STEM, manufacturing, and healthcare. Responsibilities

• Develop and teach in the assigned subject(s) and level(s) in new or existing programs.
• Fulfill administrative requirements, meet established deadlines and complete required training.
• Stay current in compliance training, including compliance under Title IX “Responsible Employee” and, if applicable, Clery Act Campus Security Authority as a condition of employment.
• Agree to and follow appropriate College and department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Possess and maintain eligibility to work with secondary (high school) and post-secondary students, in‑person at all assigned work locations and virtually, in compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations (including the Illinois School Code and Faith’s Law).
• Employment contingent upon successful completion of a post‑offer fingerprint‑based criminal history records check, employment history review, and any other screening or clearance requirements mandated by state or federal law and applicable school district policies or procedures; continued employment subject to maintaining such eligibility and clearances.
• At least two years experience teaching, coaching, or volunteering with youth, along with substantiated subject‑matter expertise and effective communication skills.
