Adjunct Faculty – Applied Music (Voice)

Position Summary

Simpson College is seeking qualified and passionate educators for part-time Adjunct Faculty positions in Applied Music. We are currently hiring specialists in voice to provide individualized and/or group instruction to music majors and non-majors. These positions are ideal for professional musicians and educators who are committed to student success and artistic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide applied instruction in voice for majors and non-majors
• Prepare and deliver course materials, including syllabi
• Evaluate student progress through performances, assignments, and assessments
• Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to students
• Participate in departmental juries and recitals
• Maintain professional standards in teaching and musicianship

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Music or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Demonstrated expertise in vocal performance
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
• PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: College-level teaching experience, active performance career or professional experience in art song and opera, familiarity with musical theatre, familiarity with digital tools for music instruction
