About the role

The STEM and Business Division invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach lab-based Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals courses in our Natural Sciences Department beginning in the Fall 2026 semester. We anticipate course offerings for daytime in-person courses in Fall 2026 and going forward. Current Openings Are For Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals 1Anatomy and Physiology of Domestic Animals 2 Please refer to the Find Courses link on the College website for additional course information. Other Animal Science courses may also be available.

Responsibilities

  • Teach courses as assigned by the Division Dean.
  • Prepare course syllabi, proctor and grade course assessments as scheduled, report final student grades, and complete student alerts by the specified dates each semester.
  • Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes.
  • Embrace the ideals of diversity and inclusiveness and support the equal rights of all people by advancing the understanding and appreciation of differences, including age, race, gender, ability, religious convictions, socio-economic status, ethnic heritage, or sexual orientation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

  • Degree or higher in Biology or in a field related to animal science or veterinary medicine.
  • Commitment to and experience working with a diverse student body.

Qualifications

Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or National background check as a condition of employment.

Pay

Minimum salary is $1,397 per credit hour. Actual salary is commensurate with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement.
