Adjunct Faculty, Allied Health

About the role

The successful candidate will teach College Credit Courses as assigned, focusing on developing and delivering instruction, designing assignments and assessments, and providing timely feedback to students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and post course syllabi in accordance with the College’s requirements.
• Prepare and deliver class, studio, clinical, or lab instruction.
• Plan and deliver instruction using assigned instructional materials.
• Create or modify assignments, assessments, and other course materials.
• Grade student work and provide constructive feedback.
• Engage in professional development opportunities.
• Utilize the College’s Online Learning Management System (CANVAS).
• Maintain open communication with students, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Contribute to curriculum improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Health Sciences, closely-related healthcare field, interdisciplinary degree with a healthcare specialization, Nursing, or closely-related field.
• At least 18 graduate hours in the above fields.
• Teaching experience preferred.
• Professional certification desired.

Pay

Adjunct faculty are paid according to Seminole State College’s Non-Bargaining Unit Salary Schedule, based on the instructor’s highest degree earned.
