Adjunct Faculty - Accounting Instructor

Responsibilities

• Encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi
• Develop lectures, discussions, and other presentations or activities to enhance the students' educational experience
• Develop and execute appropriate methods of evaluating student performance
• Develop, secure, and maintain equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of classroom material

Requirements

• Master of Accountancy, MA/MS in Accounting, or MBA with a BA/BB/BS in Accounting required
• CPA license preferred
• Two years of business-related work experience required
• Successful collegiate teaching experience in accounting preferred
• Ability to use technology in teaching and familiarity with basic online academic technology preferred
• Demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction

Pay

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024): Less Than a Master's Degree = $693.36 per equated hour; Master's Degree = $808.92 per equated hour; Doctorate = $866.70 per equated hour.

Schedule

Hours per week vary by course load, semester, and schedule.

Instructors hired must submit official transcripts at their own expense; transcripts become property of Black Hawk College.
