PROGRAM OPERATION
Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes. Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follows syllabus content and requirements. Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook. Submits requested information within established timelines.
STUDENTS
Is available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions and provide assistance. Deal with student concerns and, if necessary, consult with program coordinator to resolve issues.
INSTRUCTION
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
- Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc. as appropriate.
- In event of emergency absence, notifies program/department chair.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Possesses an earned master’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in accounting;
- Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 post-secondary semester hours or equivalent of courses in accounting;
- Possesses an earned related or out-of-field master’s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- In-field professional certification (national, regional, or state)
- Three years of in-field professional employment
- Documentation of teaching excellence, including date of award
- Documentation of research and publication in the field
- Documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military
- Possesses an earned bachelor’s degree in accounting, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more of the following:
- In-field professional certification (national, regional, or state)
- Two years of in-field professional employment
- Documentation of teaching excellence, including date of award
- Documentation of research and publication in the field
- Documentation of relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor’s degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, CEU’s, vendor, or military
- Possesses and earned Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution with an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
