Adjunct Faculty - Accounting

About the role

Lorain County Community College is seeking to fill an adjunct faculty position in accounting and/or corporate finance within the Engineering, Business, and Information Technologies Division (EBIT). This position will report to the Dean of EBIT.

Responsibilities

• Student learning and success
• All aspects of teaching and delivering the courses assigned, including the utilization of the Canvas course learning management system (LMS)
• Flexible course delivery options including on-campus and distance learning formats as well as scheduled class days including weekdays and weekends

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a business area (MBA or similar)
• Undergraduate business degree in accounting, finance, or related area
• Current and relevant work experience
• The ability to integrate the Canvas LMS into coursework and delivery using available technologies
• Prior college level teaching experience
• Relevant professional related business experience
• Professional certification or designation such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or other globally recognized certifications

Qualifications

• Successful candidates must have a master’s degree in a business area (MBA or similar), and an undergraduate business degree in accounting, finance, or related area.
• Current and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• The candidate must be willing to teach accounting and finance courses.
• The candidate must have the ability to integrate the Canvas LMS into coursework and delivery using available technologies.
• Delivery methods may include various modalities including on-campus and/or online asynchronous and synchronous.
