Adjunct Faculty - Academic Support - Pharmacy

Part-time faculty (professional) tutor supporting the School of Pharmacy – Worcester/Manchester in remote and/or in-person settings.

About the role

Offer academic tutoring support to students enrolled in the Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program, first and second years. Tutoring sessions may be conducted in-person, remotely, or a hybrid of both.

Responsibilities

• Offer weekly tutoring availability for students enrolled in the first and second years of the Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program
• Facilitate tutoring sessions in an in-person and/or remote format
• Provide individualized feedback specific to student tutees as it relates to their competency with subject matter
• Use the University’s learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions
• Provide feedback to the program regarding observed student trends and concerns
• Promote engagement with and application of course content during sessions to demonstrate real-world applications of concepts covered
• Provide service including student mentoring, ongoing course development, and assessment

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (required)
• Commitment to undergraduate, graduate, and/or professional education and student success
• Demonstrates proficiency with educational and workplace technologies, including learning management systems, Microsoft 365 applications, student success platforms, and emerging digital tools
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals)
• Experience in and/or familiarity with the School of Pharmacy Worcester/Manchester Accelerated Doctor of Pharmacy program (preferred)

Pay

Hiring range: $44.50/hour. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity and market data.
