About the role

Responsibilities
- Teach a range of courses within the Art discipline.
- Create engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Engage in remote learning using Canvas or other methods when necessary.
Requirements
- Master's in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor's in any of these fields AND Master's in humanities.
- Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of college students.
- Certification in Blackboard, Canvas, or Course Compass or other online modalities.
Qualifications
- Master's in fine arts as defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art; and also, art education and art therapy.
- Eligibility for a Covid-19 vaccine.

Benefits
Adjunct instructors are compensated at a starting rate of $89.72 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
