About the role

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) seeks dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time faculty positions in the Art discipline for the 2026 Academic School Year. These positions aim to engage and educate students, fostering inclusive and engaging educational environments.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a range of courses within the Art discipline.
  • Create engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
  • Collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
  • Engage in remote learning using Canvas or other methods of remote learning.

Requirements

  • Master's in fine arts, art, or art history OR Bachelor's in any of the above AND Master's in humanities.
  • Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of college students.
  • Equivalent qualifications may be considered.

Qualifications

  • Covid 19 Vaccination Required.
  • Eligible for a doctoral differential if applicable.

Skills

Applicants with demonstrated certification in Blackboard, Canvas, or Course Compass or other online modalities may be given preference.

Benefits

Adjunct instructors are compensated at a starting rate of $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.31 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
