About the role
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) seeks dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time Art History Instructor positions for the 2027 Academic School Year. This posting creates a pool of qualified applicants to be reviewed when openings occur at LACCD's nine colleges.
Responsibilities
- Teach any of the Art History Courses offered
- Create engaging and inclusive educational environments
- Collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators

Requirements
- Master's degree in art history, history of art and architecture, or visual culture/visual studies
- Or Bachelor's degree in art history and Master's degree in history
- Or Master's degree in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history
- A sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
Desireables
- Museum Studies background with four years' experience
Compensation
The salary schedule for adjunct instructors starts at $89.72 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments. Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
