About the role

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) seeks dynamic, motivated, and diverse candidates for part-time Kinesiology Instructor positions for the 2026 Academic School Year. These positions aim to engage and educate students, fostering inclusive and engaging educational environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach Kinesiology courses at various LACCD colleges.
• Collaborate, communicate, and work professionally with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
• Engage in culturally responsive interactions with diverse student populations.
• Conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other remote learning methods.

Requirements

• Master's degree in kinesiology, physical education, exercise science, education with an emphasis in physical education, physiology of exercise, or adaptive physical education; OR
• Bachelor's degree in any of the above and Master's degree in any life science, dance, physiology, health education, recreation administration, or physical therapy; OR
• The equivalent.

Qualifications

• A sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Pay

• Salary starts at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments.
• Doctoral differential available for applicants with a doctoral degree.
