Adjunct Assistant Professor - Architecture & Construction Management (MEP and Energy Systems)

About the role

The Architecture & Construction Management Department occasionally hires adjunct faculty to teach the ARC263 - Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) and Energy Systems course.

Responsibilities

• Teach according to course learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
• Provide knowledge of building systems, green building technology, and assemblies.
• Show understanding of NFPA 220 Construction Types and prevailing building and energy codes.
• Explain construction drawings, construction notes, and specification organization.
• Discuss design processes related to architectural project planning.

Requirements

• M.S. in Engineering and B.S. in Engineering with certification by Professional Construction or MEP professional organization; or
• B.S. in Engineering with Engineering Registration (PE) license and construction or MEP project management experience.

• Additional Preferred Qualifications:
• Engineering Registration (PE) license or Certification by Professional Construction or MEP organization;
• 3 years of professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• M.S. Engineering and B.S. Engineering with certification by Professional Construction or MEP professional organization;
• B.S. Engineering with Engineering Registration (PE) license and construction or MEP project management experience.
