About the role
The Architecture & Construction Management Department occasionally hires adjunct faculty members to teach courses in drafting and visualization.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in drafting and visualization within the Architecture & Construction Management programs.
- Teach courses including: ARC 101 - Introduction to Architecture and Construction (manual and computer-aided drafting); ARC 111 - Graphics I (manual drafting); ARC 121 - Graphics II (computer-aided drafting); ARC 123 - Graphics III (computer-aided visualization and rendering).
- Ensure adherence to course learning objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Provide instruction in manual drafting techniques such as orthographic projection, perspective drawing, axonometric views, 2-D and 3-D projections.
- Offer instruction in computer-aided drafting using Autodesk Suite, including AutoCAD or Revit or Inventor.
- Instruct in computer-aided visualization using software like Revit, Rhino, Lumion, or BIM.
Requirements
- B. Arch. (5 year), M. Arch., or BS Arch. and MS in related field, or BS in related field with graphics/drafting experience.
- Additional preferred qualifications include: Architectural Registration (RA) license, 3 years of professional work experience, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills
- Knowledge of course-specific material to align with course learning objectives and student learning outcomes.

- Proficiency in computer-aided drafting using Autodesk Suite, including AutoCAD or Revit or Inventor.
- Expertise in computer-aided visualization using software like Revit, Rhino, Lumion, or BIM.
