About the role
Cooper University Health Care (CUHC) is seeking an academic addiction medicine physician to join their growing addiction medicine division.
Responsibilities
- Provides both inpatient and outpatient specialty care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders through various programs including hospital consultation service, inpatient detoxification/stabilization and residential programs, emergency department and hospital bridge programs, community paramedicine and field buprenorphine initiation, jail transition care, outpatient group and specialty medical visits, a low barrier walk-in clinic, a wrap-around perinatal SUD program, dual diagnosis psychiatric and addiction medical care, integrated addiction and infectious disease care including HIV and hepatitis C treatment, and other innovative community work.
- Runs several clinical innovation, education, and research programs.
- Works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Desired to shape the delivery of substance use disorder care and work with underserved populations.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in addiction medicine or addiction psychiatry.
- Possession of MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Active medical license.
