About the role
New Season Treatment Centers is seeking a Medical Director to lead their outpatient Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) in Richmond, Virginia. The Medical Director will provide clinical leadership, medical oversight, and physician supervision for the OTP.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical oversight for patient care and treatment services
- Conduct admission, annual, and follow-up medical evaluations
- Manage medication orders and supervise MAT treatment protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and nursing staff
- Participate in treatment team meetings and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with DEA, SAMHSA, HIPAA, Medicare, Medicaid, state, and federal regulations
- Serve as a clinical resource for addiction medicine and behavioral health best practices
Qualifications
- Active Virginia Physician License (MD or DO)
- Active DEA Registration
- Active Medicare and Medicaid credentialing
- Experience in Addiction Medicine, Substance Use Disorder (SUD), Behavioral Health, Psychiatry, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Opioid Treatment Programs (OTP), HIPAA, and regulatory compliance
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
