ADC Engineer, Commerce Platform-ADC, Team Mercury

About the role

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC), AWS Commerce Platform team is hiring a cleared Systems Development Engineer to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Take a defined set of tasks and execute them on schedule.
• Identify ineffective processes.
• Identify technical implementations with defects or lacking availability, performance, or maintainability.
• Avoid taking unnecessary risks related to operational risk.
• Identify and resolve, mitigate, or escalate operational concerns in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner).
• 3+ years of systems administration (Linux or Windows) experience.
• Experience working with scripting languages like Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby, Bash, Shell, or equivalent.
• Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
