About the role

The Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineering team is dedicated to building automated platforms and solutions to streamline the AWS build and deployment process in dedicated regions. Our vision is to fully automate and enable zero-touch AWS deployments thereby reducing the time it takes to deploy new features and freeing engineers to focus on building new services and capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to AWS deployments
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to optimize deployment processes
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment workflows
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new deployment strategies and technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development, or 3+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of full stack development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional); 3+ years of non-internship professional software development, or 3+ years of software development experience; 3+ years of full stack development experience; 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience; 2+ years of Linux operating systems experience
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent; 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience; Experience with modern software development, web development frameworks, APIs; 4+ years of distributed systems experience; Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above

Skills

• Strong understanding of cloud computing principles and technologies
• Experience with AWS services and tools
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Pay

Base salary range for this position is $143,700.00 - $194,400.00 USD annually
