Acute Medicine Registered Nurse (Full-Time) (Nights)

Role Overview Provides direct patient care in a 26-bed acute care unit, managing a diverse patient population with medical-surgical needs, including occasional trach care. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting patient- and family-centered care, and educating on illness management and post-treatment needs. Ensures patient safety, participates in quality and regulatory activities, and collaborates with an interprofessional team including case managers, social workers, and specialists. Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations. Maintains compliance with standards of care and safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.Experience: No prior experience required; two years of experience preferred for advanced roles.Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking abilities; ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team; commitment to safety and quality care.
