Acute Medicine Registered Nurse - Full Time Nights

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care on a specialized acute medicine unit with a capacity of 13 adult patients. Nurses will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment.

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care, including education on managing illness and medication administration.
• Participate in safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities while engaging in professional development.
• Develop and document personalized care plans with clear goals, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences, values, and cultural considerations.
• Contribute to a safe environment, demonstrating alertness and safe work practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; two years preferred for advancement.
