Acute Care Nurse - Night Shift

About the Role

Provides high-quality, direct patient care in acute medical settings, collaborating with physicians and healthcare teams to deliver effective treatment. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards, emphasizing patient and family-centered care, education, safety, and regulatory compliance. Nurses develop individualized care plans, communicate across care teams, and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring alertness and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication use
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and professional growth activities
• Coordinate and communicate care plans across multidisciplinary teams
• Assess and address physical, emotional, cultural, and psychosocial needs

Requirements

• RN licensure with a Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred)
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred for higher qualifications
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to professional development and patient safety
