Activity Worker (Temp-to-Hire; $20.20 an hour)

Role Overview This is an on-site role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned: Plans, implements, and evaluates appropriate therapeutic activities based on resident needs including large and small groups and one-on-one activitiesAssists in planning and organizing special events, e.g. birthday parties, religious and holiday activities as assigned and under the supervision of the Life Enrichment ManagerMaintains professional milieu in all programsEncourages resident participation in programs and activities, including escorting residents to programs and activities as neededAssists in the coordination and supervision of VolunteersAssists in outings and accompanies residents as neededCoordinates resident newspaper delivery Compensation $20.20 per hour; $0.75 shift differential for second shift and weekends Schedule Sunday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm; OFF Friday and Saturday Who You Are Education and/or Experience Required:At least a high school diploma or GED is required.Preferred:An associate’s degree in a human services field is preferred.A bachelor’s degree in a human services field is strongly preferred.At least 2 years of experience working with the elderly in an institutional setting is preferred.
