Activities Specialist

About the role

The Activities Specialist is responsible for planning, enacting, monitoring, and improving the therapeutic recreational activities delivered to the youth served within the Buckeye Ranch Residential Treatment program. This position will arrange, lead groups, promote engagement, and maintain schedule of structured activities throughout the calendar year. The role collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support youth with age-appropriate programs and activities focused on social-emotional development, coping skills, and a trauma-informed environment while maintaining a safe, structured program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and monitor therapeutic recreational activities for youth in the Residential Treatment program
• Arrange and maintain a schedule of structured activities year-round
• Promote youth engagement in age-appropriate programs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to align activities with social-emotional development, coping skills, and trauma-informed care goals
• Ensure activities are delivered in a safe, structured environment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human service–related field
• Two years of juvenile mental health work experience
• Active driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
