Activities Associate- Wyndham Ocean Boulevard

About the role

The Activities Associate at Travel + Leisure Co. is responsible for organizing and executing a variety of recreational activities for resort guests. This role requires the ability to operate various resort facilities and areas, including the activities center, movie theater, fitness centers, pools, cabanas, banquet rooms, tanning rooms, and outdoor games and beaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide Resorts Activities to Guests
• Create, plan, and execute guest activity programs (e.g., arts & crafts, pool games, aerobics, movie nights, BBQs, etc.)
• Maintain and supervise the Activity Center
• Sign up guests for resort activities
• Conduct area audits and record inspections
• Manage a cash bank following proper cashiering procedures
• Attend training and meetings
• Practice Count On Me Service by following the Sequence of Service Steps
• Handle guest and employee safety and incident issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Lifeguard, CPR, First Aid Certification, Alcohol Awareness Card, Food Server Health Card, Valid Local State Driver’s License
• Excellent communication skills
• Good judgment when dealing with guests and staff members
• Ability to organize and facilitate group activities
• High level of creativity and customer service mindset
• Knowledge of general resort services
• Ability to work an adjusted work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in customer service or recreation

Skills

• Ability to drive large vehicles, shuttles, and/or vans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and company reporting and associate timekeeping
• Ability to learn new programs and use radio and telephone communication devices
