Activities Assistant-Memory Care

About the role

The Activity Assistant plays a vital and heartfelt role in enriching the lives of residents at Waters Edge Village, particularly those in memory care. They help create a joyful and engaging environment where seniors feel seen, heard, and valued.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging, age-appropriate activities that suit different physical and cognitive abilities.
• Support residents' emotional and social needs with a supportive presence.
• Work collaboratively with the care team to support residents holistically.
• Balance daily schedules, manage multiple residents, and prepare for activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of a State-approved Nursing Assistant training and competency evaluation program or a CNA competency evaluation program approved by the State.
• Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence (C.A.R.E.) values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
