Join Suicide Care Team at UWMC Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic. Conduct 5 core suicide care services: Suicide Care Warm Handoff, Evidence-based suicide care (CAMS, Brief CBT, CBT for Insomnia, Behavioral Activation, Mentalization, DBT strategies), Caring Contacts, Suicide Care Consultation, and Population Health. Duties: Receive referrals and conduct warm hand-off of care. Provide 4-12 weeks of suicide care interventions including evidence-based psychotherapy, family intervention, and care navigation. Send caring contacts messages for one year following active treatment. Provide suicide-specific consultation to clinicians. Review system-wide metrics and provide proactive outreach. Coordinate with other treatment providers. Attend training in evidence-based suicide care. Provide evaluation and psychotherapy with non-suicidal patients when needed. Supervise and mentor trainees. Requirements: PhD or PsyD in relevant field. Washington State Licensure. Eligibility for Washington State Medical License. Expertise in evidence-based suicide care interventions preferred. Experience in suicide-specific service preferred. CSPAR conducts research and training to provide mental health professionals with resources to effectively care for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts and behavior. The Department is the third largest within the UW School of Medicine and the only academic psychiatry department serving Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho.
