Job Summary (Purpose And Function)

A full-time faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. This individual will provide clinical Neuropsychological services that may include mental health screenings and psychological assessments.

Accountabilities

  • Administer tests for intelligence, memory, attention, language, and sensorimotor functions.
  • Evaluate disorders like dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke, brain tumors, and ADHD.
  • Develop cognitive rehabilitation plans and, in some cases, provide psychotherapy.
  • Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports to guide medical treatment.
  • Collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and other medical staff.
  • Provide supervision for post-doctoral psychology fellows.
  • Attend multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • Identify patients requiring psychiatric evaluation.

Minimum Qualifications (Essential Requirements)

  • Education: Psy.D. or Ph.D.; valid State of Florida Licensed Psychologist.
  • Completion of a fellowship with specialized training in Neuropsychology.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills for patient care and data interpretation.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
