Responsibilities

  • Aid in producing or reviewing documents for program office use that support acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts.
  • Support the program office during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, EMD, Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, to include all milestone activities.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate the total cradle-to-grave life cycle logistics support for assigned weapon systems or subsystems, integrating supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities.
  • Monitor functional and organizational compliance with milestones and performance criteria.
  • Coordinate and integrate taskings.
  • Assist in the continuous evaluation of the status and effectiveness of program support in all functional areas to ensure adequate support plans and accurate time phased schedules.
  • Develop logistics support and maintainability programs or plans as well as systems acquisition requirements analysis.
  • Manage, monitor, evaluate, and coordinate ILS implementation.

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years experience in acquisitions, including at least 3 years in a DoD environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge, experience, and recognized ability in the technical/professional field, with the ability to perform tasks and oversee junior personnel within the technical/professional discipline.
  • Experience with data analysis using MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of technical/professional discipline, with a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply associated standards, procedures, and practices in the area of expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Acrobat, and web access applications including Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  • Knowledge of logistics policy and guidance, including Title 10 United States Code Section 2466, Limitations on the Performance of Depot-Level Maintenance of Materiel (as amended by the National Defense Authorization Acts [NDAAs]), and applicable Air Force systems.
  • Understanding of ILS planning, development, and execution, sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a total, well-structured, and viable program.
  • Understanding of logistics and maintainability programs, including product support RAM-C program, test and evaluation planning and execution, technical evaluation, and identification of weapon systems logistics requirements and resources.
  • Understanding of budgetary or financial analysis and control, and life cycle cost analysis and control.
  • US citizen with a current Secret clearance.
