Acquisition Logistician
Responsibilities
Aid in the creation or review of documents pertinent to the acquisition and sustainment logistics efforts. Provide support during Materiel Solution Analysis, Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction, Early Manufacturing Development (EMD), Production and Deployment, and Operations and Support phases, including all milestone activities. Plan, manage, and coordinate the entire lifecycle logistics support for assigned weapon systems or subsystems, integrating supply, maintenance, procurement, and quality assurance into logistics activities necessary for system fielding. Monitor compliance with milestones and performance criteria. Coordinate and integrate taskings. Evaluate the status and effectiveness of program support across all functional areas to ensure adequate support plans and accurate time-phased schedules. Develop logistics support and maintainability programs or plans, as well as conduct systems acquisition requirements analysis. Manage, monitor, evaluate, and coordinate Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) implementation.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in acquisitions, with at least 3 years in a DoD environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- Knowledge, experience, and recognized ability in the technical/professional field, with the capability to oversee junior personnel within the discipline.
- Comprehensive understanding and application of associated standards, procedures, and practices in the technical/professional discipline.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Adobe Acrobat, and web-based applications such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Knowledge of logistics policy and guidance, including Title 10 United States Code Section 2466, Limitations on the Performance of Depot-Level Maintenance of Materiel (as amended by NDAAs), and applicable Air Force systems.
- Understanding of ILS planning, development, and execution, sufficient to coordinate and integrate functions into a cohesive program.
- Working knowledge of logistics and maintainability programs, including product support RAM-C program, test and evaluation planning and execution, technical evaluation, and identification of weapon systems logistics requirements and resources.
- Understanding of budgetary or financial analysis and control, as well as life cycle cost analysis and control.
- US citizenship and a current Secret clearance.

- Must be a US citizen and hold a current Secret clearance.
- Applicants selected will undergo a U.S. government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
