About the role
The Assistant Program Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with mental illness or dual diagnosis, helping them transition to more independent living environments. They work closely with Residential Counselors to provide direct support and supervision to overnight staff.
Responsibilities
- Complete required documentation
- Aid in group therapy sessions
- Provide transportation and behavioral interventions
- Model appropriate behavior and lead recreational activities
- Facilitate the development of valued roles and personal relationships in the community
- Implement and manage habilitation, whole life, and other service plans
- Assist with program scheduling and budgets
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Reliability and willingness to learn new opportunities
Qualifications
- Open to new opportunities and willing to adapt to different settings
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
