About the Role

You are the first face of TENEX. Every employee, candidate, and customer who walks through our Overland Park door starts their day with you. Your role involves managing the reception and front desk, ensuring the office runs smoothly, and supporting meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Greet employees, candidates, customers, and guests upon arrival.
  • Manage visitor check-in and connect guests with their hosts efficiently.
  • Prepare the front office meeting room for new hires and People Operations’ day-one sessions.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.
  • Keep the reception area, conference rooms, and common spaces clean and organized.
  • Manage building maintenance vendor relationships, driving service and repairs through to completion.
  • Coordinate office inventories, including food, beverages, snacks, and office supplies.
  • Handle weekly lunch schedules and catering orders, ensuring the kitchen is always stocked and presentable.
  • Spot and address facilities issues before others notice, ensuring everything is operational.
  • Own logistics for onsite meetings and team gatherings, including scheduling, setup, catering, and day-of execution.
  • Support offsite and visitor logistics for leadership and customer meetings, if requested.
  • Partner with People Operations on programs that foster a positive office environment.
  • Raise your hand to support the People Operations team when needed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a receptionist, office coordinator, administrative, or hospitality role.
  • A warm, service-first presence with strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • An exceptional organizational ability and a consistent sense of urgency.
  • Extreme ownership mentality: you don't make excuses, you find solutions.
  • Proficiency with common workplace tools (Google Workspace) and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • The ability to work onsite five days per week and handle occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
