About the role

Join Our Team as a Part-Time Accounts Specialist! Performs professional, journey-level work in complex governmental fund accounting, county budget systems, and the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.

Responsibilities

  • Performs professional, journey-level work in complex governmental fund accounting, county budget systems, and the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
  • Enjoys a flexible schedule — no weekend hours, just 16 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.
  • Collaborates with a great team at the courts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED (General Education Degree)
  • Two (2) years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience in financial accounting/auditing.
  • Some college level accounting course work; OR An equivalent combination of education, experience, and training may be considered in the minimum qualifications.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, or Public Administration.
  • Experience in government accounting to included federal or state grants or fund accounting.

Skills

  • A strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $20 - $25 per hour.

Schedule

16 hours per week across 4 or 5 days.

Qualifications

Special Job Requirement

  • Must complete annual training as required by the Committee on Judicial Education and Training (COJET).
  • Must possess a valid State of Arizona Driver’s License at the start of employment and maintain said license while employed in this position.
  • Provide acceptable driving history at no cost to the County.
