About the role
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will join our growing Finance Contract Management Team that supports internal Jack Henry business units. This position will support high-volume projects where you will assist with converting legal documents to the PeopleSoft accounting system and verifying billing and revenue are set up correctly. You will work with MS Excel to create spreadsheets from extracted data to review and analyze accuracy. This role offers additional knowledge transfer through cross-training within our team.
This is a hybrid role requiring at least 1 day per week in any of the following office locations: Allen, TX / Lenexa, KS / Springfield, MO / Monett, MO.
Responsibilities
- Process customer billing activities.
- Interpret contracts and accurately enter information in PeopleSoft or other billing systems to create customer invoices.
- Recognize revenue to correct general ledger accounting strings.
- Process various monthly, quarterly, and annual billings and credit memos.
- Perform routine checks and balances with other employees.
- Maintain files and accounting documentation.
- May perform other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A minimum of 18 months of combined experience in the following accounting categories: Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and/or Finance OR a minimum of 18 months working in a Financial Institution.
- Ability to travel up to 10% to attend meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- Experience with MS Excel: PivotTables, VLOOKUP’s, Macros, and formulas.
- Strong math and reasoning skills.
- Ability to use spreadsheets and other accounting-related programs.
- Ability to type accurately and efficiently, including 10-key.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $34,400–$42,000. This posted range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary above or below this range and is subject to change based on factors including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, work schedule, travel requirements, and overall business needs.
