About the Role
Triton Claim Management is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support our financial operations. This role is responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices. The AR Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the company’s cash flow and overall financial health.
Responsibilities
- Generate and issue accurate, timely customer invoices
- Post and apply payments (checks, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards) to customer accounts
- Monitor accounts for outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all transactions are properly recorded
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer disputes
- Prepare aging reports and assist with monthly financial close processes
- Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation
- Assist with credit checks and onboarding of new customer accounts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field OR 4+ years of experience in accounts receivable/payable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Enterprise preferred) and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
