Scope of Responsibilities
- Identify delinquent accounts.
- Contact customers of delinquent accounts on a consistent basis until the account is resolved.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed on an account to include letters, telephone conversations, charges payments, etc.
- Audit accounts to determine what the balance of an account consists of and provide documentation.
- Negotiate and resolve customer disputes.
- Create spreadsheets for reporting purposes.
- Avoid errors within an account and rectify them upon request.
- Prepare and communicate outstanding invoices, letters, or other documentation to customers within a reasonable time frame.
- Maintain a courteous demeanor when dealing with customers.
- Assist in the preparation of accounts for attorneys if necessary.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Attendance Requirements: Available and on-time for scheduled work shifts.
- Educational Requirements: Associates Degree or higher in Accounting or a related field, preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: Experience in Accounts Receivable Department or Collections preferred, but not required.
Job Skill Requirements
- Assertive interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong understanding of computer technology.
Compensation
$18.03-19.06 an hour. The final offer will be determined after careful consideration of multiple factors such as relevant skills, years of experience and education.
