About the role
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely entry of financial data into the accounting system in support of accounts receivable operations. Processes high volumes of data with precision, maintains organized and up-to-date account records, and provides data entry support to the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process accounts receivable data into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify data accuracy by comparing entries against source documents and identifying discrepancies.
- Research and resolve data entry errors and discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner.
- Aid with month-end data entry tasks to support the financial close process.
- Review and audit supporting documentation and backup records to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent, required
- 1+ years data entry experience, required
- 1+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in the 'What You'll Bring' section
Qualifications
- Organized with a strong attention to detail
- Capable of handling a high volume of data with a high level of accuracy
- Excellent data entry proficiency with a high level of speed, consistency, and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve data discrepancies independently
- Solid experience in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, and accounting software
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and foster relationships with team members
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive financial information
- Ability to conduct oneself in an appropriate manner as a representative of SEC, working effectively in a diverse work environment
