About the role
The Accounts Receivable Clerk will provide financial, administrative, and clerical services, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.
Responsibilities
- Process, verify, and post receipts for goods sold or services rendered.
- Research and resolve account discrepancies.
- Process and record transactions.
- Maintain records regarding payments and account statuses.
- Obtain information from other departments to ensure records are accurate and complete, and that accounts receivable ledgers and journals are up-to-date.
- Work with the collections department to review accounts, client payments, credit history, and develop new or better repayment terms.
- Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending bill reminders, filing paperwork, and contacting clients to discuss their accounts.
- Generate reports and statements for internal use.
- Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge.
- Assist with team oversight as needed.
Management retains the discretion to add or change duties at any time.
Requirements
- High-level experience in office administration or related fields.
- Accounting degree or 2+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of accounts payable in a wholesale environment.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.

- Sitting for long periods; general bending and twisting associated with lifting.
Travel is not required except locally.
