About the role

The Accounts Receivable Clerk (A/R Clerk) will process cash deposits, reconcile payments, and handle customer disputes. This role is hybrid, typically working 3 to 4 days in the office after training.

Responsibilities

  • Processes incoming payments and verifies transactions from various sources.
  • Reconciles payment transactions and the Accounts Receivable Ledger to ensure accuracy.
  • Assists in complex reconciliations and posts adjusting entries to resolve discrepancies.
  • Daily review of delinquent accounts and investigation of past due invoices.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payment issues.
  • Provides detailed analysis of overdue receivables and recommends accounts for additional escalation.
  • Completes master data forms for new and existing customer accounts.
  • Handles customer inquiries and processes credit card payments in both English and French.
  • Determines if orders should be released and escalates if necessary to the credit analyst.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of related accounts receivable experience.
  • A High School diploma required; an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, SAP).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be flexible with work assignments.
