Responsibilities

• Prepare work by gathering and sorting documents and related information.
• Obtain revenue by verifying transaction information; computing charges and refunds; preparing and mailing invoices; identifying delinquent accounts and insufficient payments.
• Collect revenue by reminding delinquent accounts; notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Process payments by recording checks, cash, and electronic transfers into the ledger.
• Perform collections by calling or emailing clients who are late on paying their bills.
• Reconcile accounts by matching bank deposits and payments with open invoices.
• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verify accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolve account discrepancies by investigating documentation.
• Maintain financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Maintain financial historical records by filing accounting documents.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or customer service experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills with a customer-focused, solution-oriented mindset.
